HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-054WHEREAS, the public sector and the private sector of the
State of California are impacted by State regulations which affect
daily operations of both entities; and
WHEREAS, many of these laws are costly and problematic to
the effective functioning of public and, private entities and have
marginal or nonexistent value to the general public; and
WHEREAS, a diverse consortium representing ten public and
private entities in Butte County have come together to identify
areas where State law should be changed in order to remove barriers
to the effective and efficient provision of services; and
WHEREAS, the consortium, calling itself Coordinated
Solutions, requested the concurrence of the Board of Supervisors on
January 26, 1.993, to pursue legislation that would address areas
identified by the consortium as needing change; and
WHEREAS, Senator Tim Leslie has introduced language to
effectuate several changes in the laws of the State of California
as identified by the Coordinated Solutions group, and that the
title of said legislation is Senate Bill 950.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, hereby
declares their support of Senate Bill 950 as amended on April 20,
1993, and hereby does commend Senator Leslie far his efforts to
take an the fight against barriers to the effective and cost
efficient provision of services.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on the 27th day of April, 1993, by the
Board of Supervisors on the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, McLaughlin, ~'homas and Chair Roux
NOES : None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING; None
