RESOLUTION ABANDONING A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
(PORTION OF CHICO CANXON ROAD)
WHEREAS, this matter came on regularly for hearing before the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
on ~ra~ ~i 1993, in the Board Chambers, Butte County
Administration Building, Oroville, California; and,
WHEREAS, it appearing to said Board that notice of the time
and place of the hearing on the petition for the abandonment of the
public right-of-way in question was duly and regularly given as
required by law; and,
WHEREAS, testimony and evidence, both oral and documentary,
having been prpduced at said hearing, from which said Board now
finds that the hereinafter described public right-of-way is
unnecessary for present or prospective public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, TT IS HEREBY ORDERED as follows:
1. That the public right-of-way situated in the County of
Butte, State of California, as hereinafter more particularly
described, is hereby abandoned pursuant to Chapter 3 of Part 3 of
Division 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code (commencing
with Section 8320).
2. That said public right-of-way so abandoned is located in
the unincorporated area of the County of Butte, State of
California, is identified as a portion of the right-of-way for
. Q3-~ 1939 ~
Chico Canyon Road from Centennial Avenue, Easterly adjoining AP 11-
03-59, and is more particularly described in Exhibit A attached
hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
3. That a map showing the public right-of-way hereby
abandoned is on file in the Office of Butte County Department of
Public Works, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, California 95965.
4. That the Clerk of this Board shall cause a certified copy
of this Resolution, with the seal of the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, to be recorded in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California.

EXHIBIT A
All that certain real property situate in the County of Butte, State of California,
described as follows:
A portion of Section I7, Township 22N, Range 2E, M.D.B. & M. more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the most northerly corner of Lot 21 as shown on that certain map
entitled "Twenty-first Subdivision of the Bidwell Rancho" recorded in the Office of the
County Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California in Book 7 of Maps at
Page 49, said comer lies on the southerly right-of--way line of Centennial Avenue;
THENCE leaving said right-of way lie, South 55°44'33" East along the easterly Tine of
said Lot 21 a distance of 259.06 feet, more or less, to a point on the southerly right-
of-way line of Chico Canyon Road, said point also being the northwest corner of the
right-of--way abandonment recorded under Recorder's Serial Number 92-43033;
THENCE northerly along said right-of way line and along a curve to the right having
a radius of 2470.00 feet, through a central angle of 07 °39'26", an arc length of 330.10
feet to the northeast corner of said right-of-way abandonment and the True Point of
Beginning;
THENCE leaving said right-off way line of Chico Canyon Road North 19 ° 15' S4"
West, a distance of 79.90 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve to the left'
THENCE along said curve having a radius of 93.00 feet, through a central angle of
S1 °31'05", an arc length of 83.62 feet, to a point on the northerly right-of--way line
of Centennial Avenue;
THENCE along said right-of--way line North 81° 02'32" East, a distance of 215.28 feet
to a paint on the northerly right-o#~way line of Chico Canyon Road;
THENCE along said right-o.f way line and along a curve to the right having a radius
of 2540.00 feet, through a central angle -of 03°04'36", an arc length of 136.39 feet, to
a point on the southerly boundary line of Bidwell Park;
THENCE leaving said right-of--way Iine North 73 ° 52'54" East along said southerly
boundary line, a distance of 1483.24 feet;

THENCE leaving said curve and continuing along said right-of--way line North

operation of said facilities within a strip of land of the uniform width of 20 feet Iying
10 feet on each side of the existing pole line facilities, including rights for anchors and
guy wines extending outside of sand strip.
