HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-089Resa~uf2on WHEREAS, the California State Legislature has required that the counties establish a community Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP); and, WHEREAS, the State Legislature mandated local Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Boards (MCAH); and, WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors established an Advisory Board to be responsible for the reviewing, advising and reporting functions related to CHDP programs and MCAH programs as provided in the Health and Safety Code; and, WHEREAS, the California Legislature has repealed the mandate far such local boards by the sunsetting of Health and Safety Code Section 321.7; and, WHEREAS, the Advisory Board has been of valuable assistance bath to the Board of Supervisors and County staff; and, WHEREAS, the Advisory Board wishes to continue to provide assistance to the County of Butte. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: The Board of Supervisors finds and declares that the Advisory Board shall continue to operate and function in the manner and scope as previously authorized, notwithstanding the repeal of the RESOLUTION EXTENDING ADVISORY BOARD TO THE BIITTE COIINTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CONCERNING CHILD HEALTH AND DISABILITY PREVENTION AND MATERNAL, CHILD AND ADOLESCENT HEALTH PROGRAMS State Legislation. The Board further wishes to express its appreciation and gratitude for the previous assistance and help of the Advisory Board and wishes to acknowledge the dedication of the Board in continuing to operate, without compensation, in light of the repeal of the mandating legislation.
