HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-093WHEREAS, the business of tourism is vital to the economy of Butte County; and, WHEREAS, the promotion of tourism is of direct and tangible benefit to the citizens of Butte County. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1. The Board of Supervisors recommends that there be an appropriation far the promotion of tourism from the County General Fund. 2. Should transient occupancy tax (TOT) revenue exceed $22,000 in a year, but be less than $44,000 in that same year, this Board recommends an appropriation for the promotion of tourism equal to the amount of TOT revenue over $22,000. Should TOT revenue exceed $44,000 in a year, this Board recommends an appropriation far the promotion of tourism equal to $22,000 plus one-half of the TOT revenue which exceeds $44,000.
