HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-098WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors on February 24,
1976., pursuant to Sections 29320, et seq, of the Government Code
of the State of California, adopted a resolution establishing a
revolving fund for the District Attorney's Office to be used for
the prepayment of filing fees for certain civil actions and for
advancing the costs involved in levies on Writs of Execution;
and
WHEREAS, there is now determined to be a necessity to
further increase the amount of the revolving fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as
follows:
1. That the resolution adopted by the Board of
Supervisors on February 24, 1976, be amended to read as follows:
~' "BE IT RESOLVED, that a revolving fund of $5,000.40
be established in the Office of the District Attorney,
to be used in prepayment of required filing fees
where such fees are recoverable at the successful
completion of civil actions and for use in advancing
costs demanded by the various sheriffs and marshals
throughout California where such costs are recoverable
in the process of levy on a Writ of Execution or other
civil process."
2. That the County Administrative Officer is
instructed pursuant to Section 29323 of the Government Code of
the State of California to amend by endorsement the blanket
fidelity bond of the County to be conditioned, in addition to
its other provisions, upon the faithful administration of the
revolving fund and upon the willingness and ability of the
principal for whom such fund has been established to account for
and pay over the fund upon demand of the Board of Supervisors at
any time.

3. That the Auditor is hereby authorized and directed
to draw a warrant in the amount of Four Thousand Dollars
($4,000.00) in favor of the District Attorney's Revolving Fund
from the County General Fund, thereby bringing the fund total to
Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00).
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte this 13th day of July, 1993, by the
following vote:
