RESOLUTION GTVTNG NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION
TO ABANDON A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
(PORTION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY, CHICO CANYON ROAD}
WHEREAS, this Board has received a petition from ten or
more free-holders, requesting the abandonment of a public right-of-
way as described below, and at least one of the petitioners is a
resident of the road district in which said right-of-way is
situated; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of
the California Streets and Highways Code, commencing with Section
8320, this Board shall sat a date, hour and place for a hearing on
the petition for abandonment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Berard of
Supervisors:
1. That this Board hereby gives notice that at its
regular meeting on Tuesday, August 24 1993, at 10:00 a.m. ,
in the Board Chambers, Butte County Administration Building, 25
County Center Drive, Oroville, California, a hearing shall be held
to hear all persons interested in the abandonment of that certain
right-of-way located in the unincorporated area of the County of
Butte , State of California, identified as Chico Canyon Road, AP
No. 011-020-048, Chico, and more particularly described as follows:

Being a portion of that certain 70-foot right of way known as Chico
Canyon Road lying within Section 17, T22N, R2E, M.D,B. & M. more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the most northerly corner of Lot 21 as shown on that
certain map entitled "Twenty First Subdivision of the Bidwell
Rancho" recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County
of Butte, State of California, in Book 7 Maps of Record at Page 49,
said corner lies on the southerly right of way line of Centennial
Avenue.
Thence leaving said lot corner S 55° 44' 33" E along the easterly
lot line of said Lot 21, a distance of 187.24 feet more or less to
a point an the northerly right of way line of Chico Canyon Road,
said point being the True Paint of Beginning;
Thence leaving said easterly lot line and along said right of way
line and along a curve to the right having a radius of 2540.00 feet
through a central angle of 06° 30' 46", an arc length of 288.72
feet;
Thence leaving said right of way line S 36° 29' 54" E 20 feet to a
point; thence southerly along a curve to the left having a radius
2530 feet through a central angle of 06° 34' 46", an arc length of
287.58 feet to the said easterly lot line of Lot 21; thence N 43°
00' 40" W a distance of 10 feet to the True Paint of Beginning.
Reserving, however, to Pacific Bell the right from time to time to
install, maintain, repair, operate, replace, remove and renew lines
or pipes, wires, pales and other structures, equipment, fixtures
and appurtenances, for the operation of said facilities within a
strip of land of the uniform width of 20 feet lying 10 feet an each
side of the existing pole Line facilities, including rights for
anchors and guy wires extending outside of said strip.
2. That a map showing the public right-of-way to be
abandoned is on file in the Office of the Butte County Department
of Public Works, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, California 95965.
3. That at the conclusion of said hearing the Board
intends to abandon said public right-of-way.
4. That this abandonment proceeding is being conducted
pursuant to Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the California
Streets and Highways Code (commencing with Section 8320).
5. That this Resolution be posted and published pursuant

to the provisions of Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the
California Streets and Highways Code,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
5upervisars this 27th day of duly 1993 , by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, McLaughlin, Thomas and Chair Houx
