OF
WHEREAS, this Board expresses its appreciation to HELEN
RYAN for her 27 1/2 years as a law enforcement officer with the
Butte County Sheriff's Department.
WHEREAS, HELEN RYAN joined the Butte County Sheriff's
Office on January 17, 1965 as a Dispatcher-Matron and through the
years worked her way up through the ranks to Jail Commander. For
the past several years, she has been the Sergeant in charge of the
Civil Division.
WHEREAS, after serving the citizens of Butte County for
27 1/2 years, HELEN RYAN is retiring on July 30, 1993.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the residents of
the County of Butte:
That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the
unselfish dedication and devotion given by SERGEANT HELEN RYAN
during her career with the Butte County Sheriff's Department.

Supervisors this 27th day of July, 1993, by the following vote:
