BUTTE COUNTY AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, on October 26, 1993, the Board of Directors of the
Butte County Air Pollution Control District sitting as the Butte
County Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance 3103 which
changed office hours for all Butte County Departments to the
public business hours of 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except
Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and at such other
specifically designated tames as may be required by law; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Air Pollution Control District
has specific programs which require that the office be staffed
seven (7) days per week; and
WHEREAS, the Air Pollution Control Officer has recommended
that the most economical means to provide the necessary office
coverage and public access is to have different office hours than
those adopted by the aforementioned ordinance; and
WHEREAS, this change in office hours adheres to the negotiated
change of compensated time as outlined in the Memorandum of~
Understanding agreed to by three bargaining units and the Butte
County Board of Supervisors of four consecutive days of nine hours
each day; and
WHEREAS, said public office hours are to be: Monday through
Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., thereby
_ allowing adequate staffing for the programs and for public access
five (5) days per week but decreasing the hours open to the public
by 2 5 0 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors
sitting as the Board of Directors for the Butte County Air
Pollution Control District hereby directs staff to change office
hours to those outlined, thereby allowing specific programs to be
given the necessary coverage seven (7) days per week.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Butte
County Air Pollution Control District this 9th day of November ,
1.993, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, Mchaughlin, Thomas and Chair Houx
