COLLABORATIVE NETWORK'S APPLICATION TO THE POLICY ACADEMY
WHEREAS, the children and fatm7ies of Butte County and its communities need more
effective and efficient health, educational, and social services in order to become more healthy, productive,
and successful; and
WHEREAS, the Collaborative Network of Butte County, representing the Inter-Agency
Council, Childress Services Coordinating Council, and Community Partnership Coalition, with affiliated
health, educational, social, law enforcement, employtuent, ethnic, business, and wnununity interests and
services, have collaborated in developing common goals to promote community health and improve the
system of services to children and families; and
WHEREAS, members of the Collaborative Network and the service systems and communities
they represent are investing time, facilities, and resources in development of a community-based and school-
linked services system; and
WHEREAS, the Collaborative Network is submitting an application proposal for its members
to participate in a Policy Academy for Butte County Collaboration sponsored by the Foundation Consortium
for School-linked Services;
NOR', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the
Board recognizes, supports, and approves of the Collaborative Network goals, interactions, investments, and
proposal application to participate in the Policy Academy for Butte County Collaboration.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 9th day of
November, 1993 by the following vote:
AYES; Supervisors Meyer, Do1.an, McLaughlin, Thomas and Chair Houx
