HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-182~'esolufian WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte intends to consider a proposal for the establishment of a County Service Area, the boundaries of which are hereinafter described and which include the area within County Service Area No. 20, which was determined "not active" by this Board on June 24, 1965; and WHEREAS, the purpose of said new Gounty Service Area will be to provide street lighting; and WHEREAS, no proceeding for the establishment of such service area shall be instituted by this Board or requested by its members until approval of the Local Agency Formation Commission is first obtained. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Super- visors as follows: 1. That application and a proposal is hereby made to the Local Agency Formation Commission in accordance with the Cortese- Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, commencing with Government Code Section 55000, for establishment of a County Service Area. 2. That the exterior boundaries of the proposed County Service Area are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference. RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATION TO THE BUTTE COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION REGARDING PROPOSAL FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF A COUNTY SERVICE AREA FOR STREET LIGHTING (MULBERRY LIGHTING) 3. That establishment of said Service Area is proposed under the County Service Area Law (Chapter 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, Title 3 of the Government Code, commencing with Section 2521.0.1). 4. That the type of extended service proposed to be provided is street lighting. 5. That the Clerk of the Board is authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Executive Officer of the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission.
