OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE ELECTING THE
ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF DISTRIBUTION
OF PROPERTY TAX LEVIES AND ASSESSMENTS
WHEREAS, Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 4701) of Part 8
of Division 1 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code
(hereinafter called "the Act") authorizes a county to elect by
resolution to adopt an alternative method of distribution of
property tax levies and assessments on the secured roll made by
a county on its behalf or as the tax-levying and tax-collecting
agency for other political subdivisions; and
WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors on October 12, 1993 adopted
Resolution No. g3-156 opting into the alternative method of
distribution of property tax levies and assessments; and
WHEREAS, the Board of supervisors of the County of Butte now
desires to extend that period of time in which all public
districts, except those for which the county treasury is not the
legal depository and those which do not agree by resolution to
elect into the alternative method, may agree to participate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte that the Board amends Resolution No.
93-156 to allow those public districts, except those for which
the county treasury is not the legal depositary and which do not
agree by resolution to elect into the alternative method, to
agree to participate in the alternative method by a resolution of
their governing boards adopted not later than December 20, 1993
on a motion by Supervisor McLaughlin ~ seconded by
Supervisor Thomas the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adapted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
