ORDINANCE NO.
AN INTERIM.ORDINANCE ZONING'A'PORTION OF THE
COUNTI' OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORi~t2A, PURSUANT
TO ORDINANCE NOS. 475, 522 and 676 OF SAID COUNTX
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Cali-
fornia, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County,
being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance of said County as amended by
Ordinance Nos.-522 and 676, does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinbelow described area situate in the Cout~ty
of Butte, State of California, shall be and is hereby zoned as an '~
A-3 :(Agricultural) District and such area shall be subject to the
restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter speci--
fiert and provided, said areas so zoned being located in the unin-
corporated area of Butte County, State of California, and particu-
larly described as follows:
As shown by map attached and as shown on
Butte County Neap in the office of the
Butte County Planning Commission and in
the office of the Butte County Clerk.
SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in an "A-3"
District:
2.1 Uses Permitted:
a. Single Family Dwellings.
b. General farming, horticulture, commercial livestock,
poultry productions, warehouse and storage.
c. Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to the permitter
uses, including agricultural processing plants.
d. Housing facilities {including trailers) to acconunodate
only agricultural families employed by the owner or operator of the
premises; and provided further that such housing facility shall be
considered accessory to the main building, sjut shall conform to the
provision pertaining to required yard and open space for dtaellings.
2.2 The following uses subject to securing a use permit in ea
case:
a. Golf courses and country clubs..
b. Public or quasi-public uses including churches, fire-
houses, izospitals and clinics, parks and playgrounds, schools, pub-
lic utility buildings and professional buildings.
2.3 Nfinimum Lot Area Required: Five (5) acres.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not specifical-
ly authorized and permitted under Section 2 are prohibited.
SECTION 4. Penalties for any violation of the zoning hereby im-
posed within the District shall be as provided in -the Zoning Enabl-
ing Ordinance. Ii1 compliance with the provisions of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from-and after its effect-
ive date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ord-
inance.
SECTION 5. For the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health and safety of the area iiereinabove described, and the resi-
dents and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that this Ordinance
take effect immediately. A declaration of the facts constituting
the necessity therefor is as follows:
1 The adoption of such interim Zoning Plan is necessary in the
,public interest, to maintain the status quo in such district,
2 pending the determination of the application for such permanent
detail zoning.

SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance sha11 take effect immedi-
4 ately upon its passage and before the expiration of fifteen (15}
days after its passage shall be published once, with the names of
5 all members voting for and against the same in the GRIDLEY HERALD
a newspaper publ3,sheA in said County of Butte, State
g of California.

Butte, State of California, this l~h day of June 1967, by the
