Public Works, announced his retirement as of July 3Q, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Pat Patten began his career with the County of Butte in 1958, as
a Junior Civil Engineer in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the
Department in responsible engineering positions, to become Civil Engineering -
Supervisor, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Pat Patten worked in the public works engineering and construction
fields for many years, earning the respect of fellow employees, engineers,
surveyors, contractors, and others involved in public works activities in Butte
County; and
WHEREAS, Pat Patten has diligently served the residents of the County of
Butte for 36 years with extraordinary distinction and leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its awn behalf, and on
behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Pat Patten
sincere appreciation for his many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding
service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and further wish him
well on hie retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Soard of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, this 28th day of June 1994, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, Houx, Thomas and Chair McLaughlin.
