HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-110RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT/COMMUNITY COST SHARE TRUST FUND WHEREAS, in 1993 the County adopted Resolution 93-131 establishing the Fire Department /Community Cost share program, and WHEREAS, Resolution 93-131 stated that certain revenue sources were to be used to fund the cost share program, and WHEREA5, the abilities of the communities to raise funds and have them ready for cost share projects does not fail along fiscal year boundaries, and WHEREAS, unanticipated revenue funds roll into the budget at years end thus requiring the fire department to start fresh each year accumulating funds, and WHEREAS, Resolution 93-131 anticipated that these funds would "carry over year to year to allow communities mare than one year to raise their 50 percent match." WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the County to use these funds to make costly apparatus replacement expenditures; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors formally establishes the Fire Department/Community Cost Share Trust Fund. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Trust Fund have as sources of revenue all the fund sources listed in Resolution 93- 131: A. Not more than $ la0 , a0a in annual. savings in the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF)/Butte County Fire Department (BCFD) agreement; B. Unanticipated revenue from use of County fire resources by Federal agencies. C. Unanticipated revenue from use of County fire resources by State agencies. D. Civil cost collection or court ordered restitution revenues paid by persons negligently or criminally causing fires. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Auditor administer the trust fund in the same manner as other trust funds of a similar nature.
