HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-133RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR PROCESSING CHANGE ORDERS RELATED TO THE BUTTE COUNTY COURTHOUSE PROJECT WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is proceeding with a capital construction project called T'Butte County Courthouse Project"; and WHEREAS, after bids are received and construction contracts are awarded, it is inevitable that some change orders will be necessary to accommodate unforeseen conditions, design document errors, and owner changes; and WHEREAS, an administrative policy is necessary to allow change orders to be processed expediently. NOW, THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the following policy of processing change orders on the Butte County Courthouse Project" be as follows: 1. The Butte County Courthouse Project will have an administrative approval authority of $25,000 limit on individual change orders and a cumulative authority of 5% of construction bid cost. 2. The Chief Administrative Officer, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer and General Services Director have authority to administratively approve change orders within the limits set forth in Paragraph 1. Such administrative approval will require the approval of at least two of the three persons. 3. A report shall be prepared and presented to the Board of Supervisors on a quarterly basis setting forth the change orders, the amounts, and an explanation for each change order approved during the period. 4.
