The additional compensation paid a constable s'ha11 be based upon merit and length of service as set forth in sections 6.7 and 6.8 of the Personnel Rules. ~ - _;-~ 9, SECTION N0. 5 Beginning September 19 19679 the classification9 number and salary range of positions authorized for each department or unit are set forth in the following sections. SECTION No. 45 PAYMENT OF SALARIES: The salaries of the officers deputies, clerks and employees of the several departments and institutions of the county shall be paid semi-monthly. Extra help employed by departments and institutions of the county shall be limited to the budgetary provisions therefor and such extra help shall also be paid semi-monthly in the same ma nner as the officers, deputies, clerks and employees referred to above. SECTION NOe 46 All other ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed as of the effective date hereof, provided specifically that provisions in all previous ordinances relating to health insurance for elective and appointive officers and anployees of the County of Butte, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTTON N0. 47 EFFECTIVE DATE AND PUBLICATION: This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption and shall be operative on and after September 1, 1967, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names of the members voting for and against in a newspaper published in said County of Butte.
