HomeMy WebLinkAbout949~ cj ~~~l, ; ORDINANCE N0. -i ~ /_ l: 2' 3 4'. 5 6' 7 8'. 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19I 20 21 22 23' 24 25j 26 27 28 29. 30 31 32 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ZONING A PORTION OF SAIp COUNTY PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NOS. 475, 522, 676 and 936 Of SAID COUNTY The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Cali- fornia, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County, being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance as amended by Ordinance Nos. 522, 676 and 936, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "R-3" (Medium-Density Residential) District and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being lo- cated in the unincorporated area of Butte County, east of 99E Free- way and south of Lindo Channel, Chico, California, and particularly described as follows: Chico Sectional Map 2F as shown in the office of the Butte County Planning Commission and in the office of the Butte County Clerk SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "R-3" DISTRICT: The following regulations shall apply in an "R-3" District: 2.7 USES PERMITTED:'. a. One-family dwellings, twa-family dwellings and multi- family dwellings, not including tents or trailers. b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses. c. Household pets (but notincluding livestock, poultry or poisonous reptiles). 2.2 LOT AREA: a. Minimum required area of a lot shall not be less than eight thousand, one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet. 2.3 LOT WIDTH: a. Minimum lot width shall not be less than sixty-five (65) feet. 2.4 FRONT YARD: a. Mini-mum front yard shall not be less than fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road, except where the road is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five (55) feet from the centerline of said road. 2.5 SIDE YARDS: a. Minimum side yard shall not be less than five (5} feet. 2.6 OFF-STREET PARKING: a. Off-street parking shall be provided on the basis of one parking space for each dwelling unit. 2.7 The following uses subject to the securing of a use permit in each case: a. Golf courses and country clubs. b. All uses of land within the District not specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited. SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said Zoning En- abling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by and adding to Section 5 thereof this Ordinance in-full. SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of-the zoning hereby imposed within the District shall be as provided in the Zoning Enab- ling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning .Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after its effect- ive date become a supplemtnt to and part of the Zoning Enabling 'Ordinance. SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with ,the names of the members of the Soard of Supervisors voting for and ',against it in the THE CHTCO ENTERPRhE-RECORD, a newspaper publish- ed in the County of Butte, tote of Ca ifornia.
