PROCLAIM A STATE OF EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, an January 10, 1995, the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte found that due to a succession of wind and rainstorms, widespread
flooding occurred, creating a condition of extreme peril to life and
property in Butte County; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with state law the Board of Supervisors
proclaimed an emergency did exist throughout said county; and
WHEREAS, it has now been found that local resources are unable to cape
with the effects of said emergency;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT ZS HEREBY PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that a copy of
this proclamation be forwarded to the Governor of California with the
request that he proclaim the County of Butte to be in a state of emergency;
and
IT TS FURTHER ORDERED that John A. Blacklock, Chief Administrative
Officer of the County of Butte, is hereby designated as the authorized
representative of the County of Butte for the purpose of receipt,
processing, and coordination of all inquiries and requirements necessary to
obtain available state and federal assistance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10th
day of January, 1995 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, Roux, Thomas and Chair McLaughlin
NOES : None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
