HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-006WHEREAS, the Butte County Sheriffls Department patrols the Thermalito Afterbay pursuant to
a contract between the Sheriffl s Department and the California Department of Water Resources; and,
WHEREAS, there is presently planned and scheduled boat racing tune .trial events at the
Thermalito Afterbay for the Presidents' Day weekend of February 18 and 19, 1995; and,
WHEREAS, in light of said events, the sponsor of the events (Gold Coast Racing) and the Butte
County Sheriff's Department have requested that the Butte County Board of Supervisors authorize the
public closure of the Thermalito Afterbay body of water for that Presidents' Day weekend; and,
WHEREAS, such public closure appears in the best interest of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that exclusive use of the Thernnalito Afterbay body of
water will be granted to Gold Coast Racing for the purpose of presenting the racing time trial events and
the public will not be permitted use of that body of water, for the period of time beginning 12:01 a.m.
Saturday, February 18, 1995 and ending 11:59 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 1995.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10th day of January,
1995, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, Houx, Thomas and Chair McLaughlin
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
