HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-037WHEREAS, the Catholic Ladies Relief Society was founded Apri123, 1920; the third
such society founded in the Sacramento Diocese; and
WHEREAS, the Catholic Ladies Relief Society receives funds from United Way, Federal
Emergency Management Association, the State of California, private donations and fund raisers;
and
WHEREAS, the Catholic Ladies Relief Society has over the years expanded its ability to
provide help to those in need of emergency assistance. The Society provides temporary housing
for families with small children, fond, prescriptions, gas, bus tickets, and help with paying rent and
utility bills.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf, and on
behalf of the residents of Butte County, wishes to express to the Catholic Ladies Relief Society
sincere appreciation for the many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service to the
residents of Butte County.
PASSES AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors this 14th day of March, 1995 by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyez, Dolan, Houx, Thomas and Chain McLaughlin
