HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-071WHEREAS, on May 9, 1995, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte found that due
to increased dam releases, widespread flooding occurred, creating a condition of extreme peril to
residential and agricultural. property in Butte County; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with state law the Board of Supervisors proclaimed an emergency
did exist throughout said county; and
WHEREAS, it has now been found that local resources are unable to cope with the effects
of said emergency;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIl1i1ED AND ORDERED that a copy of this
proclamation be forwarded to the Governor of California with the request that he proclaim the
County of Butte to be in a state of emergency; and
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that John S. BIacklock, Chief Administrative Officer of the
County of Butte, is hereby designated as the authorized representative of the County of Butte for the
purpose of receipt, processing, and coordination of all inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain
available state and federal assistance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 9th day of May,
1995 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, Houx, Thomas and Chair McLaughlin
