l~,~~ L~~z~,z~b.- _-.. ~ ~ F PTE COUNTY ORDINANCE N0. ~,<~~ CC'S AN ORDTNAN~E ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTES STATE OF CALIFORNIA The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of 1 California do ordain as follows: 2 Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis 3 of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter ¢ described came within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of S the State of California, in that the prima facie speed limit of thirty-five 6 {35) miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway, and q determines and declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County high- $ ways as follows: 9 A. That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles IO per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 11 25 MILES signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-describe 1Q County highway, to wit: 13 1. BILLE ROAD PROM CLARK ROAD TO PENTZ ROAD 14 Section 2; Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis 15 of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter 16 described comes within the provisions of Section 22357 of the Vehicle Code 17 of the State of California, in that the existing prima facie speed limit 18 is less than is most appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of 19 traffic on said highway and determines and declares a prima facie speed 20 limit on such County highway as follows: Q1 A. That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles 22 per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 23 35 MILES signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described 2¢ County highway, to wit: 25 1. ON TEHAMA AVENUE FROM GRAND AVENUE TO THE WEST END 26 Section 3: A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict 2q herewith are hereby repealed. 28 Section 4: The several features, parts, provisions, sections 29 and terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, 30 and the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or 31 term thereofy shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render 32 the same inoperative or invalid. .5 1V.. ~ 1 ~ ~ ~, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 to 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 Section 5: The Department of Eublic Works of the County of Butte is hereby directed to erect appropria"te signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
