BUTTE COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title I II, Division II, Part 2, Chapter 2.2 of the Government
Code of the State of California, commencing with Section 25210.1, preliminary
proceedings have been initiated for the establishment of a County Service Area by
Resolution of the Butte County Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, on July 12, 1995, the Local Agency Formation Commission passed
and adopted Resolution #95-02 approving the Formation of County Service Area No. 164
for animal control services; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that County Service Area #164 is
proposed to be established under the terms of the aforesaid chapter in the unincorporated
areas of Butte County.
1. The boundary lines of the territories proposed for inclusion in the County
Service Area are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this
reference.
2. The name proposed for said County Service Area is CSA #164 -Butte
County Animal Control District.
3. The type of extended service to be provided within said area is animal
control services not provided to the same extent on a countywide basis both within and
without cities,
4. The Board intends to levy a service charge to pay for services in County
Service Area #164. The service charge will be assessed in accordance with Government
Code Section 25210.77a and Butte County Code Section 21-85 through 21-90.
5. On _, august 2~ , , 1995, at ~~ :d0 a.m. a public hearing will be
held on the establishment of said County Service Area.
