RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THAT THE SPECIAL
BRIDGE PROJECT TO REPLACE THE AGUAS FRZAS ROAD BRIDGES
AT BUTTE CREEK AND BUTTE CREEK OVERFLOW HAS PRIORITY OVER
ANY OTHER ELIGIBLE BRIDGE PROJECT IN BUTTE COUNTY
WHEREAS, Aguas Frias Road at Butte Creek is a County maintained road;
WHEREAS, Aguas Frias Road is essential for public use as a general
traffic circulation route; and
WHEREAS, Aguas Frias Road Bridge at Butte Creek {State Bridge No.
12C-234) and Aguas Frias Road Bridge at Butte Creek Overflow (State Bridge No.
12C-233) are substandard, are on extremely poor horizontal and vertical
alignment, are the scene of frequent vehicle accidents, and are subject to
extended road closures due to flooding; and
WHEREAS, the Aguas Frias Road Bridges at Butte Creek and Butte Creek
Overflow will be eligible for bridge replacement funding under the Federal
Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program, providing the Butte
County Board of Supervisors certify that the Special Bridge Project to replace
said Bridges has priority over any other eligible bridge project in Butte County.
NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors that the Special Bridge Project to Replace the Aguas Frias Road
Bridges at Butte Creek and Butte Creek Overflow has priority over any other
eligible bridge project in Butte County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12th
day of September, 1995, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, Houx, Thomas and Chair McLaughlin
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
