RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 163
THORNTREE INDUSTRIAL PARK
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title III, Division II, Part 2, Chapter 2.2 of the
Government Code of the State of California, commencing with Section 25210.1,
preliminary proceedings have been initiated for the establishment of a Gounty Service
Area by petition of Tam Reed; and
WHEREAS, on April 6, 1995, the Local Agency Formation Commission
passed and adopted Resolution #96-08 approving the Formation of County Service Area
No. 163 for the maintenance of storm drainage, fire protection and street lighting
facilities; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
County Service Areas are proposed to be established under
the terms of the aforesaid chapter in the unincorporated area of Butte County:
1. The boundary lines of the territories proposed for inclusion in the
area are in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
2. The name proposed for said County Service Area is CSA #163 -
Thorntree Industrial Park.
3, The type of extended service to be provided is the maintenance of
storm drainage, fire protection and street lighting facilities.
4. The Board intends to levy a service charge to pay for services in
each of these areas. The service charge will be assessed in accordance with
Government Code Section 25210.77a and Butte County Cade Section 21-85 through 21-
9a.
5. On January 9, 1995, at 10:00 a.m. a public hearing will be held on the
establishment of said area.

Butte, State of California, on the

COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 163
All that certain real property situate in the County of Butte,
State of California, described as follows:
Being a portion of Section 2, Township 22 North, Range 1 East,
M.D.B. and M., and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Cohasset
Road and the southerly line of said Section 2, also being the wes-
terly extension of the southerly line of Thorntree Drive;
Thence along said southerly line of Section 2 and the southerly
line of said Thorntree Drive and its westerly extension North
89'02'02" East a distance of 530.97 feet to the southerly exten-
sion of the westerly line of Contractors Drive and the True Point
of Beginning;
Thence continuing alone said southerly line of Thorntree Drive
and Section 2 North 89 02'02" East a distance of 2124.66 feet to
the South lj4 corner of said Section 2;
Thence along the North-South centerline of said Section 2 North
00 45'19" West a distance of 923.65 feet to the easterly exten-
sion of the centerline of Viento Drive;
Thence along the centerline of said Viento Drive and its easterly
extension South 88 48'14" West a distance of 1329.65 feet to the
centerline of Vispera Drive;
Thence along the centerline of said Vispera Drive North 00 52'05"
West a distance of 395.00 feet to the southwest 1j16 corner of
said Section 2;
Thence along the northerly line of the southwest 1/4 of the south-
west l j4 of said Section 2 South 88 48' 14" West a distance of
796.86 feet to the westerly line of said Contractors Drive;
Thence along the westerly line of said Contractors Drive and its
southerly extension, South 00'52'05" East a distance of 1310.11
feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 52.1 acres, more or less.
