HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-158 ~~~so~ufion Nc~. 95-is~ RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 93-13 INCREASING THE PETTY CASH REVOLVING FUND WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopted Resolution 93-13 on February 9, 1993 establishing a cash purchase order procedure and increasing the petty cash revolving fund to $5,000; and WHEREAS, California Government Code Section `?9320 et. seq. provide for the establishment of such funds in amounts to be determined by the Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the amount of the petty cash revolving fund because of the higher volume of cash purchases being made through local vendors who will not accept Butte Courtly purchase orders or charge accounts, and the inconveniences and time delays encountered in replenishing the fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows: 1. Resolution 9>-13 heretofore adopted by the Board of Supervisors on February 9, 1993 is hereby amended increasing the Petty Cash Revolving Fund from $5,000 to $10,000. 2. Certified copies of this resolution shall be transmitted to the County Auditor and County Treasurer. 3. The Risk Manager is instructed pursuant to Section 29323 of the California Government Code to amend by endorsement the blanket fidelity bond of the County to be conditioned in addition to its other provisions, upon the faithful administration of the revolving fiend and upon the willingness and ability of the principal for whom such fund has been established to account for and pay over the fund upon demand of the Board of Supervisors at any time. 4. The Auditor of the County of Butte is hereby authorized and directed to draw a warrant in the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000} in favor of the Chief Administrative Officer of the County of Butte from the County General Fund, for deposit into the Petty Cash Revolving Fund. 5. 'The Chief Administrative Oi~cer or his designee will account for the Petty Cash Revolving Fund in accordance with Government Code Section 29390 et. seq. and will periodically request replenishment based on properly documented vouchers. 6. All other provisions of Resolution 93-13 shall remain in full force and affect.
