HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-049WHEREAS, a proclamation was issued by the Governor of the State of California, proclaiming May as Foster Parent Appreciation month; and r ,;; "_ry~,~ n- RESOLUTION DEGLARING MAY AS FOSTER PARENT APPRECIATION MONTH WHEREAS, the Department of Social Welfare through its office of Foster Care Licensing, licenses foster parents to provide care; and WHEREAS, children separated from their homes, who need a safe and healthy environment, when placed in Faster Family Homes are provided with guidance and affection; and WHEREAS, children with special needs would fail to thrive without the attention of skilled faster parents; and WHEREAS, agencies serving children: Children's Services; Far Northern Regional Center; State Adoptions and other constituent agencies place children in Foster Family Homes and provide concrete services to foster children to help support the efforts of Foster Parents; and WHEREAS, Butte County recognizes children as our greatest resource, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, hereby declare the month of May 1996 as Foster Parent Appreciation Month, to honor the dedication of Foster Parents, and their high ethical and moral standards.
