RESOLUTION ACCEPTING SUPPLEMENTAL TRIAL COURT FUNDING
FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND AGREE{NG TO PROVIDE MATCFIING
COUNTY FUNDS FOR COUNTY TRIAL COURT OPERATIONS
WHEREAS, the current level of state funding does not provide sufficient fiscal resources for
the Butte County Consolidated Courts to finance required and essential services; and
WHEREAS, the application of the Butte County Consolidated Courts to receive
supplemental. state funding in the amount of $27,113.00 has been approved; and
WI{EREAS, all supplemental state funding must be matched dollar for dollar by the county
in which the recipient court is situated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
hereby accepts the $27,113.00 in supplemental trial court funding from the State of California and
agrees to provide matching funds, appropriated after March 1, 1996, in the amount of $27,113.00
to be deposited into the County's Trial Court Funding fund by June 17, 1996; and
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that all state and matching county supplemental funds
shall be expended only for financing court operations costs allowable under California Rules of Court,
Rule 810, and shall not be used to supplant or replace any county funds previously budgeted for the
support of a trial court in fiscal year 1995-96.

l 996 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, F{oux, Thomas and Chair McLaughlin
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Meyer
