HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-061K~~solufion X70. 9~-61 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE BUTTE COUNTY EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors recognizes that its employees are the most valuable asset in providing governmental services to the citizens of Butte County; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds it in the best interest of Butte County employees and the public to establish an employee recognition program to promote morale and to recognize the service to the public performed by county employees; and WHEREAS, the true value of employees becomes clearly evident over the years with gained experience in their chosen field of expertise; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds it in the best interest of the Butte County organization and the public to recognize the career longevity status by way of establishing an employee recognition program to honor long term service; and WHEREAS, county employees will receive appropriate recognition awards at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service; employees with 20 or more years of service will be recognized and honored at a meeting of the Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, this recognition program will have policies and procedures developed by the Butte County Management Council far consideration and approval of a committee comprised of the Chair of the Board of Supervisors, the Chief Administrative Officer, and the Chair of the Management Council; and WHEREAS, the initial policy will be established by June 30, 1996; and WHEREAS, this recognition program will be established to recognize years of service effective January 1, 1996. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the Butte Gounty Board of Supervisors supports and establishes the Butte County Employee Recognition Program.
