RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AND INCREASING 'TI-IE CHANGIJ HINDS
FOR THE COURT EXECLJTIVI: OIiFICER
BIJ'I'"fE COUN"I'Z' CONSOLIDATF,D COURTS
(GOVF,RNMI?,NT CODE SECTION 29320 et seq.j
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte has determined that for the
efficient operation of the Butte County Consolidated Courts, under the control of the Court
Executive Officer, Change Funds are necessary; and
V4'I IERF.AS, the Government Code of the State of California Sections 29320 et scq. provide
for the establishment of such funds in amounts to be determined by the Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors far the County of Butte has previously established
Court Change Funds in the total amount of $425.00; and
W} ~EREAS, the consolidated courts have implemented an automated case management and
accounting system such that the amount of$~25.00 is now insullieient for proper administration of
the Court Cha~lge f ands;
NOW, THEREFORE, BF, IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, as follows:
That in order to provide appropriate accountability for all cash transactions, it is
necessary to increase the amount of the Court Change Funds for the Court Executive Officer from
$425.00 to $925.00. Distribution of the amount between courts will be at the discretion of the Court
Executive Officer. The Court Executive Officer will notify the Auditor's Office of the initial
distribution (by court branch) and any subsequent redistribution.
2. That this hued is established in accordance with Sections ?9329 et sey. o~l` the
Government Code of the State of` California, and that certified copies of the resolution shall be
transmitted to the County Auditor and the County "[~reasurer.
;. That the Chief Administrative Officer and Risk Manager are instructed pursuant to
Section 29323 of the Government Code to amend by endorsement the blanket fidelity bond of the
county to be conditioned in addition to its other provisions, upon the faithful administration of the
change funds and upon the willingness and ability of the principal for whom such funds have been
established to account for and pay over the funds upon demand of the Board of Supervisors at any
time.
4. "hhe Auditor of the County o~f Butte is hereby authorized and directed to draw a
warrant in the sum of hive Hundred Dollars ($500.00) in favor of the Court Executive Officer of the
Butte County Consolidated Cow-ts fT0111 the Trial Court hued (F-0060), for deposit into the Trial
Court Change I' und.
PASSl3D AND ADOPTED this 13th~ay of August 1996 by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors by the following vote:
