HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-108WHEREAS, this Board expresses its appreciation to THOMAS HANDY for his 24 years as a law enforcement officer with the Butte County Sheriff's Office. WHEREAS, THOMAS HANDY joined the Butte County Sheriff's Office in 1972 as a Deputy Sheriff. In 1979, he was promoted to Sergeant. During his years as a Sergeant, he was assigned to patrol, administration and felony investigations. He held the position of Chief Investigator for several years prior to his retirement. In addition, to his investigation duties, SGT. HANDY developed, on his awn initiative, a highly equipped and professionally trained bomb squad that is one of the finest in Northern California. WHEREAS, after serving the citizens of Butte County for 24 years, THOMAS HANDY is retiring on September 17, 1996. NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors on its own behalf, anal on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte: That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given by SGT. THOMAS HANDY during his career with the Butte County Sheriff s Office.
