RETIREMENT FROM THE SOUTH BUTTE COUNTY MUNICIPAL COURT
WHEREAS, Loreta S. Gerald, Supervising Court Clerk, South Butte County Municipal
Court, announced her retirement as of November 3, 1996; and
WHEREAS, Loreta S. Gerald has served the people of the County of Butte for 29 years with
extraordinary dedication and devotion; and
WHEREAS, Loreta S. Gerald began her Butte County career in the Oroville Justice Court
in June of 1967 as a Clerk I extra-help, was hired full-time as a Clerk II in April of 1974; and was
promoted to the position of Supervising Court Clerk in rely of 1989 which she holds today; and
WHEREAS, Loreta S. Gerald has earned the respect and admiration of her supervisors and
co-workers throughout her 29 years of professional service and unflagging determination to serve the
citizens of Butte County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that this Board, on behalf of the people of this
County as well as on its own behalf, wish to express to Loreta S. Gerald sincere appreciation for her
many years of outstanding service to the people of Butte County, and further to wish her well on her
retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 22nd day of
October 1.996 by the following vote:
AYES; Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, Houx, Thomas and Chair McLaughlin
