HomeMy WebLinkAbout9631 I{ ~, ~ ?, ORDINANCE NO 963 AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTX OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NUMBERS 475, 522 AND 576 OF SAID COUNTY 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 to 11 12 13 i4 15 16 1'7 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance of said County as amended by Ordinance Numbers 522 .and 676, DOES ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. The hereinbelow described area, situate in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "R-1" (Single Family Residential) District, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County, north and west of the City of Chico, California, and particularly described as follows: As shown on Butte County Map in the office of the Butte County Planning Commission and in the office of the Butte County Clerk: SECTION 2 REGULATIOPd5 FOR "R-1" District. The following regulations shall apply in an "R-1" District: 2.1 USES PERMITTED: a. Single Family Dwellings, not including tents or trailers. b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses. 2.2 LOT AREA: Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit shall not be less than eight thousand, one hundred twenty- five {8,125) square feet. 2.3 LOT WIDTI3: Minimum lot width shall not be less than sixty-five (55) feet. 2.4 FRONT YARD: Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road, except where the road is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five (55) feet from the centerline of said road. SECTION 3. All uses of land within the District not specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited. SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding to Section 5 thereof this ordinance in full. SECTION 5. Fnr the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the area hereinabove described, and the residents and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that this ordinance take effect immediately. A declaration of the facts constituting the necessity therefor is as follows: The adoption of such interim Zoning Plan is necessary in the public interest, tc maintain the status .quo in such district, pending the determination of the application for such permanent detail zoning. 1 2 3 5 6 7' 8 9 l0 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 2'7 28' 29 30 31' 32 SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage shall be published once, with the names of all members voting for and against the same in the Chico-Enterprise, a newspaper published in said County of Eutte, State of California,.
