RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF ENLOE HOSPITAL`S
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE WELL BEING OF WOMEN, CHILDREN,
FAMILIES AND THE C01~~-2i7N1 ITIES OF BUTTE COUNTY
WHEREAS, alcohol and drug problems are a serious
concern affecting our children, families and communities; and
WHEREAS, babies born to substance abusing mothers
present an especially tragic problem; and
WHEREAS, Enloe Hospital has managed a highly successful
perinatal substance abuse program known as "Touchstone" for the
past six years that has assisted hundreds of Butte County women
in delivering drug free babies and developing drug free
lifestyles thus preserving sanity, health, children, families and
in many instances their jabs and homes; and
WHEREAS, the staff of Enloe Hospital and Touchstone
have given unselfishly of themselves in the pursuit of assisting
these women, children and families; and
WHEREAS, Enloe has enthusiastically supported the
Touchstone program and their clients financially,
administratively, programmatically and emotionally.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County
Board of Supervisors hereby acknowledges and appreciates Enloe
Hospital, the Touchstone program and each and every one of the
staff far their incredible contribution to the well being of
women, children, families and the communities of Butte County.
Enloe Hospital has truly demonstrated awe inspiring commitment to
community service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 14th day of January,
1997 by the following vote:
