HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-030~~~ O~ ~S U f ~;~~i~ ~ ~' ~% 0 i ~~~ ;«~~a :-As ;a~: ~n; BCJARD OF SUPERVISOR ~~ ~~ .~~~+ COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA • ~. r •~~~i+~COUK;,~i~~~ ~c'so~ufion 1Uc~. y7-3o RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTIT BOARD OF SUPERVISORS WHEREAS, the County of Butte desires to make an application to the State Board of Corrections for a Juvenile Crime Enforcement and Accountability Challenge Grant Program -Demonstration Project Grant, and WHEREAS, Chief Probation. Officer Helen Harberts has been appointed by Board Resolution on November 2b, 1996, as Chair of the Butte County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors, on the 26th of November 1996, established the Butte County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council consisting of nineteen public and private representatives in order to apply for grants relating to juvenile justice, and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to expand the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council to 26 representatives, these seven additional representatives will represent the following public agencies or groups: One (1) representative each from: Board of Supervisors Butte County Office of Education Butte County Juvenile Hall Butte County Drug, Alcohol and Mental Health Services Three (3) representatives from the community or private individuals. AND WHEREAS the County of Butte intends to enter into an agreement with the State, relative to the expenditure of funds, and program implementation and evaluation should a grant award be forthcoming by not later than June 30, 1997. The County of Butte will adhere to the requirements of the Board of Corrections and all conditions specified in the grant contract with the State of California in the expenditure of` State funds received pursuant to said application. The County of Butte will participate in the collection of research data, and participate in program evaluation activities associated with the grant award. The County of Butte will invoice the Board of Corrections for all costs approved in the grant on a quarterly basis beginning October 1, 1997 and not later than October 15, 2000. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief Probation Officer is authorized to submit and sign Butte County's application for State funding as well as related contracts, amendments, or extensions with the State of California. NOW BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors approves the addition of seven new members to the Butte County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 11th day of March 1997, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis NOES: None ABSENT: NoT,e NOT VOTING: None By: F ed C.
