r''^^r^^•'^ RESOLUTION COMMENDING LESLIE L. FRYE
WHEREAS, Title IV-D of the Social Security Act created the Federal Child Support
Program. and designated each of the 50 states to have a IV-D agency; and
WHEREAS, Leslie L. Frye is the IV-D Director for the State of California, Department of
Social Services and the Chief of the California Office of Child Support; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County District Attorney's Family Support Division sought assistance
from the Office of Child Support to improve Butte County's Child Support Enforcement Program
over the last five fiscal years; and
WHEREAS, the vision, leadership, commitment, and cooperation demonstrated by the
California Office of Child Support, most notably Leslie L. Frye, allowed the District Attorney to
substantially improve the support services delivered to the children and families of Butte County;
and
WHEREAS, the assistance provided by Leslie L. Frye to the Butte County District Attorney
resulted in the Family Support Division re-establishing compliance with state regulations and setting
an all-time record of child support collections in the sum of $8.8-million far the fiscal year
1995/1996.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that
they commend Leslie L. Frye for her commitment to and support of the Butte County District
Attorney's Family Support Division program innovations. Her support has and will continue to help
Butte County positively enhance the lives of our children and families.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, on the I lth day of March, 1997, by the following vote:
