RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
DELEGATING THE AUTHORITY TO APPROVE THE PLAN OF CONSTRUCTION
FOR AIRPORTS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Sections 21661.5, 21661.6, and 21664.5 of the Public Utilities Code states the plan of construction
for airports and heliports be first approved by the Board of Supervisors for unincorporated areas in which the airport
and(or heliport is to be located.
WHEREAS, The Butte County Zoning Code (commencing with Article II of Chapter 24 of the Butte County
Code} allows private airports and heliports to be located in certain zoning categories upon issuance of a conditional use
permit by the Planning Commission after appropriate environmental review and public hearings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors has delegated to the Butte County
Planning Commission the authority to approve the plan for construction of an airport and/or heliport, as required by
Sections 21661.5, 21661.6, and 21664.5 of the Public Utilities Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 25th day of
March , 1997, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
