WHEREAS, Butte County experienced severe flooding commencing December 31, 199E
that continued actively through January 17, 1997. This flooding resulted in extra-ordinary costs for
the Fire Department responding to flood-related emergencies on a countywide basis; and
WHEREAS, extended emergencies or catastrophes of this type are not practical to include
in the annua] budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
hereby approves the increase in the amount of 581,919 in the Cooperative Agreement to provide fire
protection and rescue service for local agencies, entered into between the County of Butte and
California Department of Forestry and Fire. Protection, covering the period July 1, 1996 through June
30, 1997.
PASSED AND ADOP'T'ED by the Board of Supervisors this 25th day of March 194`7 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
