HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-044p ~ i V l ~"~ -,? ~ tl- ~., b ~fk S 7 k R~~solufion I~~o. 9~-44 RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT APPLICATION WITH THE CITY OF OROVILLE AND CONTRACT EXECUTION FOR FUNDING FROM THE GENERALlNATIVE AMERICAN ALLOCATION OF THE STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR A GRANT FROM THIS PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND AMENDMENTS THERETO FOR SUCH A GRANT, AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER TO EXECUTE A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF OROVILLE FOR ADMINISTRATION/IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GRANT BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Butte County, that the Board authorizes the submission of an application to the State of California for a joint grant application for $942,750 along with the City of Oroville for the following activities: Construction of a Community Center $756,349 General Grant Administration $ 70,706 Activity Delivery $ 75,420 City of Oroville Complementary Set Aside Activity $ 40,275 Specifically, the County of Butte's grant funds will be used for: Construction of a Community Center $422,500 General Grant Administration $ 37,500 Activity Delivery $ 40,000 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, if the grant is approved, the County will provide local leverage in staff time as follows: Sheriff s Department $ 63,340 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, if the grant is approved, the City of Oroville Redevelopment Agency will provide local leverage of up to $175,000 in redevelopment funds towards the construction of the Community Center. -2- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors authorizes and hereby directs the County Administrative Officer to act an behalf of the County in all matters pertaining to this grant application, including the signing of the grant application and, if funded, the grant agreement with the State of California and any other documents related to the execution of the grant which require a signature from an authorized agent of the County of Butte, including the execution of a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Oroville regarding roles and responsibilities associated with administrationlimplementation of the grant. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and the Chief Administrative Officer are authorized to act on behalf of the County in signing the statement of assurances.
