NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the "Chief Probation Officer" is authorized cn behalf of the County of Butte to sign the attached agreements for the Joint Powers money with the State Board of Control for the Victim/Witness Assistance Program and is authorized to sign for tt:e purposes including any extensions or amendments thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the state funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant local funds that would in the absence of the California VictimjWitness Assistance Program be made available to support the assistance of victims and witnesses of crime.
