A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RETURN OF THE
DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES/BUILDING DIVISION FIELD INSPECTION
SECTION TO A 36 HOUR WORK WEEK
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors previously adopted Resolution No. 97-81
directing that certain elements of the County work force return to a 40 hour work week schedule; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation of the 40 Hour Work Week Committee was for the
field inspection section of Development ServiceslBuilding Division to return to a 40 hour work week
on a six month basis; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors preliminarily approved funding inspection
services on Friday for a six month period, during the peak construction season; and
WHEREAS, historically, the peak construction period is April through September; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the Memorandum of
Understanding {1994-1997) between the County of Butte and the Butte Gounty Employees'
Association General Unit, {Section 8.04), and the Butte County Management Association, {Section
7.04), employees of the field inspection section of Development Services, Building Division
consisting of Supervising Building Inspector and Building Inspector II, I {Budget Unit 440.002) are
returned to a 36 hour week schedule, effective the 4th day of October, 1997.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, on the 23rd day of September, 1997, by the following votes:
RYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Floux, Josiassen and Chair. Davis
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
