RESOLUTION S1lPPORTING THE DESIGNATION OF THE CHILD CARE PLANNING
COUNCIL AS THE LOCAL CHILD CARE PLANNING COUNCIL IN ACCORDANCE
WITH ASSEMBLY BILL 1512, SEC°i'ION 13
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors and the County Superintendent of Schools
recognizes the importance of supporting the healthy emotional and physical development of children and
the importance of the quality of their care; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors in concert with the County Superintendent of Schools has
the responsibility to designate the Local Child Care Planning Council; and
WHEREAS, the existing Child Care Planning Council meets all requirements set forth by the
State of California in AB 1542; and
WHEREAS, the Children's Services Coordinating Council, acting on behalf of the Board of
Supervisors and with the agreement and support of the County Superintendent of` Schools, recommends
that the existing Child Care Planning Counci] be designated as the Local Child Care Planning Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board designated the existing Child Care
Planning Council as the Local Child Care Planning Council as allowed by AB 1542.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 28th day of
October 1997, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
NOES: None
