RESOLUTION N0. 97-169
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHAIR OF THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS TO SIGN APPLICATION DOCUMENTS RELATED TO FEDERAL
ASSISTANCE IN THE ESTABLISFR~IENT OF THE DRESCHER TRACT ROAD
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on February 25, 1997, the Board of Supervisors approved the preparation of
documents for the formation of the Drescher Tract Assessment District and submission to the U.S.
Department of Agriculture Rural Development (formerly the Farmers Home Administration) aPre-
Application for Federal Assistance; and
WHEREAS, on or about May 8, i 997, the Land Development Division of the Butte County
Department of Public Works was informed by Ronald L. Tackett, Community Development Manager
for the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (formerly the Farmers Home
Administration} that the County's pre-application appeared to meet eligibility requirements; and
WHEREAS, apre-application conference occurred on June 11, 1997 at which time the Land
Development Division of the Butte County Public Works Department was requested to submit certain
additional information; and
WHEREAS, one required form to be submitted consists of a resolution of the legislative body
for the County of Butte authorizing a representative to execute those documents required in the
application process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that the Chair of the Board
of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed:
1. To execute those documents required by the federal government to be executed by a
representative of County government in applying to obtain assistance from the United States
Department of Agriculture Rural Development (formerly the Farmers Home Administration), acting
under the provisions of the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act (7 U.S.C. 1921 et seq.);
2. To do and perform everything necessary to carry-out the purposes of this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 23rd day of
December , 1997, by the following vote:
AYES: Superivosrs Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Chair Davis
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Josassen
