WHEREAS, the Hispanic Resource Council was founded in 1983 to network community
agencies in Butte, Glenn and "Tehama Counties to improve and strengthen services to Latinos; and
WHEREAS, the Hispanic Resource Council strives to promote understanding and support for
Latino families, and to promote the involvement of Latinos in every aspect of comnninity life; and
WHEREAS, the Hispanic Resource Council has been recognized b_y the Latino Youth
Leadership Conference Committee, the Martin Luther King, _(r., Celebration Committee, the Butte
County Child Abuse Council, the Boys and Girls Club of America, Senator Mike Thompson and the
California Human Development Corporation for its service to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
recognizes and congratulates the Hispanic Resource Council rn1 the occasion of its 15th anniversary,
and expresses appreciation for their service to Butte County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 24th day of
February 1998 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
