APPROVING TIIE ADOP"['ION OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FROM I.OW

WHF,REAS, a public agency, Department of Development Services has petitioned t11e Butte County
Plannin~~ Commission and Board of Supervisors, throu~~h an appropriate applicatiol~, to amend the Butte
County General Plan Land Use Element, includin<~ the Chico Area Land Use Plan, fr~r a chan~~e ti~om Low
Density Residential to Public l~or that properly identified on E~:xhibit A-l attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the proposed General Plan Amendment has been studied and reviewed by the
Butte County Plannin~~ C~~mmission and a public llearin~~ held pursua~lt to law, at 4vhich time all interested
persons were heard: and
WHEREAS. the Butte County Board of Supervisors has determined this project to be

The property meets the site desi~~Iiation criteria for Public desi~~nation contained in
the Land Use EIeI»ent.
?. The amendment complies with the policies of the Butte County General Plan.

NOW. TIIEIZLFY)RE, BE I"I' RESOLVED as follows:
1. The General Plan Amendment to Public as shown on the attached Exhibit A-1 is
hereby incorporated by reference.
2. 'The General Plan Amendment is hereby adopted and by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte as amendments to the Butte County General Plan Land Ilse
Element. including the Chico Area Land tine Plan, said Amendments to he the land
use puhcy l~or the County of Butte in the affected area for all f~indin~~s pursuant [o
iaw.
BE I"h FI1R~hIIER RESOLVED, that pursua-1t to Government Code Section 65359 that the
Gene-`<-1 Plan he endorsed to show that the above amendments have been approved by this Board.
