HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-032BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA I1~5©~Ufi~ll r~JO. 98-32 RESOLUTION RETURNING THE BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORf1L HEALTH (BUDGET CODES 541-001 & 541-002) TO A 40-HOUR WORK WEEK WHEREAS, the Butte County Baard of Supervisors previously adopted Ordinance No. 3103 reducing the County work week from 40 hours to 36 hours; WHEREAS, the 40-Hour Work Week Committee of the Management Council was formed to investigate the feasibility of restoring all county departments to a 40-hour work week; WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Board of Supervisors to gradually return all county departments to a 40-hour work week and to enhance services to the public, while recognizing the constraints of limited county resources; AND WHEREAS, Resolution 97-53 in recognizing Butte County's current fiscal constraints, expressed the intent of the Board of Supervisors to restore certain departments to a 40-hour work week; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (1994-1997) between the County of Butte and Butte County Employees' Association General Unit, (Section 8.04), and the Butte County Management Employees' Association, (Section 7.04), employees in all classifications in the offices of Behavioral Health (Budget Units 541-001 & 541- 002), are returning to a 40-hour work week schedule effective the 4`" day of April 1998.
