I,~ ~s ~'~~~~n~rt~~' ~,i 1\+',>t~~ltllt711 ~~~(1.98-46 RESOLUTION WAIVING BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR ALL BUILDING PERMITS ISSUED IN RELATIONSHIP TO REPORTS OF DAMAGE DURING THE 1998 WINTER STORMS WHEREAS, the County of Butte suffered damage during the 1998 winter storms and proclamation of existence of a local emergency was adopted by the Board of Supervisors which continues today; and WHEREAS, portions of Butte County were subject to severe flooding; and WHEREAS, buildings and agricultural areas were extensively damaged by floodwater and sail erosion; and WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors does hereby find that the aforesaid conditions of extreme peril did warrant and necessitate the need to waive building permit fees for all building permits issued in relationship to reports of winter storm damage, verified by field inspection, to the Department of Development Services -Building Division during the period proclaimed a local emergency to thirty (30) days after termination of a local emergency 1998; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte that the Department of Development Services is directed to take the following actions: Waive building permit fees for all building permits issued in relationship to reports of winter storm damage to the Department of Development Services- Building Division during the period proclaimed a local emergency to thirty (30) days after termination of a local emergency 1998; and 2. Refund building permit fees paid by permittees who reported damage and have already received permits for correcting damage or demolition.
