HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-047a ,7," RE~solufion N0. 98-47 RF.SOLtJTION IN APPRECIATION OF MRS. PATRICIA A. LEMKE UPON HF.R RETIREMENT FROM THE UNITED WAY WHEREAS, Mrs. Patricia A. Lemke has announced her retirement as the Executive Director of the United Way of Butte and Glenn Counties as of March 31, 1998; and WHEREAS, the United VVay of Butte and Glenn Counties has been serving our communities for 34 years. Mrs. Lemke has served as the Executive firector for the United Way for the past 14 years, and as a volunteer in the United Way system fo-- almost 30 years; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Lemke has dedicated her life to helping those less fortunate, while at the same time working to make the community a better place for us all; and WHEREAS, during Mrs. Lemke"s tenure, United Way services have expanded from Butte County to include Glenn County, campaign funds have risen as high as $565,000, and the number of member agencies has increased; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Lemke's achievements have not been for personal recognition, but with genuine caring to help members of the community, whomever they -nay be. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of the residents of Butte County, would like to express their appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given by Mrs. Patricia A. Lemke during her years of service with the United Way.
