A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION AND CONTRACT EXECUTION FOR
FUNDING FROM THE GENERAL AND NATIVE AMERICAN ALLOCATION OF THE
STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM TO FUND
HOUSING REHABILITATION IN THE SOUTH OROVILLE AREA AND THE CHAPMAN
AREA OF CHICO AND ALSO, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT
AGREEMENT AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO WITH THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS GRANT
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Butte County as follows:
SECTION 1.
The Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves an application for up to $200,000.00
to be used in the following manner:
Housing Rehabilitation: $156,000.00
General Administration: $ 14,000.00
Activity Delivery: $ 30,000.00
SECTION 2.
If the grant application is approved, the County will provide local leverage as follows:
Staff Time: $ 3,000.00
Permit Fee Waivers: $ 1,000.00
SECTION 3.
The Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized and directed to act on the County's behalf
in all matters pertaining to this application.
SECTION 4
If the application is approved, the Chief Administrative Officer is authorized to enter into and sign
the grant agreement and any amendments thereto with the State of California for the purpose of
this grant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, on the 24th day of march , 1998, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Peeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
