W ~ ~ ~ *: ~ ~~i~r~0U1 ~**s~~ COUNTl~' C)Iw' ~3€~~1"~, STA7`~ L'~F' ~1SiL{'NIA Ii~~sojuli~~rt ~'~~o. 98-57 RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF DANIEL YOUNG Whereas, this Board expresses its appreciation to DANIEL YOUNG for his 29 years as a law enforcement offcer with the Butte County Sheriff's Office. Whereas, DANIEL YOUNG joined the Butte County Sheriff's Office in 1969 as a Deputy Sheriff. In 1977 he was promoted to Sergeant. I Ie was also appointed as the Youth Community Officer with the rank of Sergeant in 1978. As a Sergeant, he was assigned to investigations and he specialized in sex crimes and crimes against children. He was then promoted to the position of Administration Lieutenant in 1981. In 19$7 he became the Sheriff's Chief Deputy of the Jail Division. In 1988 he became the Assistant Sheriff of Incarceration. He worked there for seven (7) years before being transferred to the Services division in 1995, where he now works as the Assistant Sheriff of Services. DA,'~'IEL YOUNG has been an efficient and effective leader. Both morale and productivity have increased during his tenure as Assistant Sheriff. Whereas, after serving the citizens of Butte County for 29 years, DANIEL YOUNG is retiring an April 22, 1998. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors on its own behalf; and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte: That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given by ASSISTANT SHERIFF DANIEL YOUNG during his career with the Butte County Sheriff's Office. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 14thday of April 1998 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, lloux, Josiassen and Chair Davis NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None __ ,~ rred C.
